Mark R. Saunders
President

As President of GMCG, LLC, Mark is a leading investment banker to international public and private life science companies. He has a successful history of cross border mergers and acquisitions and cross border joint ventures. Mark has significant expertise in the US listing process and in all forms of financing available to domestic and international companies. He leverages his extensive contacts both on Wall Street and in the international financial markets to maximize financial opportunities for our clients with market makers, international traders, institutional public and private funds and high net worth investors.
Mark was general outside legal counsel to Citibank's ADR Division, undertaking over 300 transactions involving non-US companies listing on NASDAQ and the New York Stock Exchange. He was head of Greenberg Traurig's International Corporate Finance Group, where he advised and assisted non-US companies to issue securities in the US capital markets, representing companies from Australia, the United States, Latin America, Europe and Asia. Mark was also a Partner with the US law firms of Brown & Wood and Parker Chapin, specializing in securities and corporate finance. Mark holds a Juris Doctor from New York Law School and is a member of the New York Bar Association.

David Bottomley

David Bottomley oversees the firm’s investment banking practice in Australia specializing in mergers, acquisitions and divestments. He has advised on the origination and execution of a significant number of domestic and cross-border M&A transactions for a wide variety ofclients. Most recently, David served as a senior executive in the investment banking division of Merrill Lynch & Co. Based in the London office, David executed M&A and capital markets transactions for Merrill’s European, Middle Eastern and African clients. David began his career as an executive in the Corporate Advisory department of Westpac Corporate Finance (Sydney) before moving on to the Global Corporate Finance department of Kleinwort Benson (London) and subsequently Merrill Lynch & Co.
David holds qualifications including BA (Economic History), LLB (Hons) and post-graduate Applied Finance (Corporate Finance). He was admitted to practice law in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the Federal Court of Australia before commencing his career in investment banking. David is an Associate of the Securities Institute of Australia and a registered securities representative in the UK and USA.

Michael K. Levitan

Michael Levitan oversees the expansion of the firm’s mergers, acquisitions and advisory efforts in the U.S. and supports the firm’s efforts with biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and life sciences clients globally. He has over eleven years of healthcare investment banking and corporate development experience, including eight years in M&A and corporate finance principally focused on the biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and life sciences sectors with Wall Street investment banking firms Bear, Stearns & Co. and Lehman Brothers. Michael has executed a broad range of healthcare transactions totaling over $3 billion in value and has senior-level experience with boutique investment banks and with Bear Stearns in New York. At Bear Stearns, Michael was responsible for originating and executing a broad range of underwriting and strategic advisory transactions, and distinguished himself as an expert on emerging growth biotechnology and life science technology companies.
Michael commenced his life sciences career at Eli Lilly, where he worked in business development focusing on medical devices and, following the Guidant spinout, pharmaceuticals licensing and strategic alliances. Michael earned an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in electrical and computer engineering from McGill University.

Roger is an Australian corporate lawyer and former partner of Clayton Utz, one of Australia’s largest and most successful corporate legal practices. Eric L. Zitter

Eric Zitter focuses on deal origination and developing various corporate strategies for US market penetration, including international mergers and acquisitions, advising on the ADR process and US listings. Eric has established relationships with various VC’s, institutional buyers, fund managers, market makers, investment bankers and high net worth investors. Eric specializes in the life sciences / biotechnology industry and has launched the firm’s global biotechnology newsletters for the United Kingdom, Sweden, and Australia for distribution to the international financial community. Eric has researched and travelled globally searching for M&A opportunities for GMCG, LLC’s international client base.
Previously, Eric was a Business Development Analyst at Quintiles Transnational, where he conducted research on potential blockbuster late Phase III/registered drugs as targets for new business opportunities, analyzed competitor companies as targets for possible acquisitions, and launched the company’s first weekly internal newsletter (Drug Digest) consisting of latest drug news, new drug approvals, and pipeline information. Eric holds a joint Bachelor of Science and Engineering in Bioengineering with a minor in Applied Economics from Cornell University.

In addition, he has written several industry profiles and company reports involving emerging companies in various sectors of biotechnology.
